Esté Engelbrecht

Her career started as qualified Psychometrist in the Recruitment Centre where she was involved in the recruitment and placement of various employees from entry to senior level in the organisation. Projects included Telkom bursaries for Engineering students and the development of Psychometric selection batteries for identified technical positions. Her career thereafter exposed her to different business units in the company in the role of HR Consultant and later Senior Business Partner. Business areas she worked in included International Markets, Corporate Customer Business, Network Centre Operations, Telkom Mobile and lastly Enterprise Business Markets.

Her HR involvement covers each of the stages of an employee’s life cycle. She was involved in several projects related to strategic workforce planning, company restructuring, employee engagement, organisational culture and leadership development. Two of the highlights in her career is her role the establishing of the National Network Operation Centre in Centurion and the launch of Telkom Mobile. She values true partnerships between organisations' leadership and HR to unleash the full potential of the organisation.

During 2016 she relocated to the UAE Dubai for three years. In July 2019 the family return to SA. Esté joined Kaya Consulting in an office management capacity in January 2022.
